A Few Brewster Buffalos

I've only got six of these, with HM's Midway bird on order. Two are plastic, four are diecast.

Cool Re: A Few Brewster Buffalos

Nice collection. I'm not into the Buffalo actually but must admit to being tempted by the 1/48 HM. Really a model that seems to regularly get very good reviews.

My collection is mostly 1:72nd scale or smaller, although I have about 30 in 1:48. Aside from Carousel's FW-190D, HM's Buffalo is far and away the best. I have the upcoming Midway Buffalo on order and very highly recommend it. Hopefully, they will omit those small bombs under the wings on this one.

Re: A Few Brewster Buffalos

Nice collection of Brewster Buffalos. Currently have the 6 HM Buffalos and a pre order on the Midway model. I sure hope they see fit to putting out a couple of Finnish Buffalos and maybe one in Australian markings.

Mine is mostly 1/72 as well but the 1/48s are so tempting these days. I rolled over and got an EI P51 and the HM Spit so in all probability the Carousel 1 Fw190 will follow shortly. I did have a handful of Corgi 1/48 choppers though. I'll have a good look at the Buffalo when it comes out. It will be interesting to see which one people think will be the best of the lot though.

Gee, all of them?! You must really dig them. So what's the best one for you CC?

I would have to say it is a close tie between the Brewster B339-E RNZAF 488 Squadron, and the Brewster B339C, 2-VLG-V, Netherlands East Indies Army Air Corps model. Both are great looking models, and the pre war Buffalos are mighty fine looking models too. The HM Buffalos are pretty impressive models and I am looking forward to any future Buffalos that Hobby Master puts out.

Re: A Few Brewster Buffalos

Here is a photo of my Buffalo line up. Great book on this Brewster fighter is Buffalos over Singapore by Brian Cull, with Paul Sortehaug and Mark Haselden.

Cool Re: A Few Brewster Buffalos

They do look very good CC. In previos posts the Dutch East Indies one often came out tops. Nice collection you've got there.

Definitely need one more to fill the whole in the back though, or just a whole bunch more and start another shelf.
