Re: Just Arrived: My Renault R35 Tank

Great !!!

Now what you need are the S35 and the Hotchkiss H35/39 (the 2nd most numerous French light tank after the R35).

A platoon of H39 took notably part to the landing at Narvik.

I've got a Somua S-35. It's a repainted Solido.

Have one of these Solido models too. Pretty neat tank models, shame they did not make more of the French tanks.

Re: Just Arrived: My Renault R35 Tank

Looks like that repainted S-35 would look at home next to the two King & Country chars.

Re: Just Arrived: My Renault R35 Tank

Yeah, I don't have any Solido myself, but I've read that they're all 1:50 scale - which doesn't mix well with 1:35 scale stuff much

Ah well.

Re: Just Arrived: My Renault R35 Tank

Couple of stock Solido WWII French tanks. Like the repaint on your Somua S35

Re: Just Arrived: My Renault R35 Tank

How long have you had your S-35 ? It looks like an old Solido with its bright tracks...

I can't speak for CC's Somua but I have a very old one ( 1970s ) and some very new ones, including the repaint in my picture. Its tracks were shiny but I dulled them down.

Mine is a fairly new addition. I have only had it for about 6 years.
