f-15 diorama (updated with f-18 dio)

ive decided to start displaying all my jets on dioramas so i thought i'd better start learning how to make them, this is my first ever attempt and im pretty pleased, its still not finished, im waiting to pick up a hasewaga ground crew set and im gonna put it on a wooden base.







any comments appreciated.

I think it looks great. Did you make the tarmac base, or purchase it? Also, the F-15 looks great, what make is it?

thanks,

i made the base, its just an A-4 peice of cardboard with quick drying plaster/ filler putty stuff spread on it, then i marked the groves in, added the grassy areas and painted it, took me a couple of hours total,

the F-15E is made by dragon, i actually prefer it to my CW tomcats

Looks great Kwiky! What kits did you use to fill out the weapons loads on the E?

i used the bombs and lantrin from my CW Grim Reapers tomcat as i have that displayed as a show bird with empty pylons, the external fuel tanks are from a dragon super hornet which i painted darker grey, they're probably not the perfect size for the eagle but they look good enough for me.

well ive added the wooden frame and it finishes it off nicely, i just need the ground crew now,









i also framed my super hornet deck diorama while i was at it so i thought i'd post that too, i didnt make this one though, its a verlinden card deck thing,
