Talking Re: my humble collection

just got a new camera so i i thought it was a great excuse to snap a few pics of my planes,

i only started my collection in december so its really nothing special, hope you like.

oh yeah, i know the airbrake is wrong and that the super hornet doesnt carry aim120's on the wing tips but i dont care, i just wanted it to look a little different compared to the red rippers hornet (which doesnt have the airbrake, newer mould perhaps??)

regards.......kwiky

Hi kwiky
ooouuuhh ... nice super hornet & superbe weathering ... me love that
Thanks for the useful hints!!

The dragon models are cool in general, but yours are even cooler....
I think it's always nice to add some diorama stuff, pilots or vehicles next to the plane
to realize how big these things are in real live...

here some of my diorama models, some with and some without weathering...

cheers mate
M.F

yeah I have to admit, I'm just a collector guy, not a patient modeler ... so no clue
I've bought this nice diorama model from a pro in Poland.
If I find the contact, I'll let you know !

Keep up the nice work!
cheers

Model.fanatic, I keep coming back to this thread just to look at your very beautiful and cool looking deck dioramas! I am greatly inspired by it as well as kwiky's awesome dios too!
I just received my Dragon F/A-18F "Bounty Hunters" w/the deck pieces yesterday and I will begin to add those lines that kwiky was kind enough to provide a visual-tutorial for us.
Simply awesome!

Re: my humble collection

finally i weather the surfaces using the same method as the permanant weathering on the super hornet, i dipped a cotton bud into a wash made of flat black and water the applied it in areas that would attract rubber and dirt, the landing centre line in particular gets very dirty indeed, for the general dirt the wash was applied with a brush and the excess wiped away to smudge it
now all i need to do is find someone who sells these seperately, im ever hopeful of century doing one, maybe made from resin......... well i can dream lol
regards...........kwiky

Fantastic work on the carrier deck kwiky

I have these as well and was thinking of scanning one section of the flight deck and photoshopping the scan to make some additional decking

If it works I'll post some pictures

Wow I am really impressed by your collections. Where did you get those ground support trucks from?

Thanks,
