Re: How often do you rearrange your collection?

I only re-arrange a little bit, only as necessary, when I get new models. But then, these small changes can add up to a significant variance over the course of a couple of years.

And then, once in a great while, a more major change is required due to a new display cabinet being acquired. I fear this will have to be the case not too far into 2008...

FVD

Mine get re-arranged depending on new versions arriving so can group by country sometimes or by variant.(I do have cotton gloves:-))

Re: How often do you rearrange your collection?

Depends on when I'm home. Recently it's been every day I've been home but I also just got 3 detolfs from ikea so I'm doing some major moving but normally I'd have to guess once a month

Re: How often do you rearrange your collection?

I do the ocassional re-arranging to hide the newest model from the suspicious eyes of the wife?

Mrs.: Did you get another new one of those things?

Me: No dear, I just moved them so I could clean them. hehehe.

Re: How often do you rearrange your collection?

Just picked up a new cabinet that will hold my heavies so there is a frenzy of re-arranging right now.
US members might want to check KMart furniture section for the Brentwood Bookcase with sliding glass doors. Nice deep shelves to hold multiple heavies...... and a nice looking piece of furniture.

Re: How often do you rearrange your collection?

I rearrange my collection all the time. It's therapeutic for me... plus I constantly need to 1) make my collection look significantly smaller than it is and 2) find more room for new inventory. It's a constant juggle that I enjoy very much

Re: How often do you rearrange your collection?

Now that my daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild have FINALLY moved into there own home, I have been happily re-arranging my collection, as I have a number of aircraft (most from Tuesday Morning, and a few I've purchased from fellow forum members) that I have not been able to get integrated into my collection. I also have a cabinet (you know the one, Jim, you saw it in storage in my dining room) that I am now able to get all set up with the afore-mentioned aircraft, now that I can put it where it is was supposed to go. As i mentioned, also moving some of them around, new groupings etc. HAVING A BLAST, MAY DO THIS MORE OFTEN. (maybe!)

PS got the PBY that I bought from MustangDriver up in my "new" cabinet...What an AWESOME aircraft!

Re: How often do you rearrange your collection?

I just rearranged mine desk this morning and over the weekend. I'm really squuezed for room as my place is tiny. Depending on what planes I find when I go through the garage, and what empty boxes I can grab, means I'm always moving birds and tanks in and out.

Plus, I like having just a couple on my desk right here next to me. I spend some time with them admiring them, then move them out for new birds. Once I break them out again, its like rediscovering them all over.

Anything for a weird life.

Captain thats a very nice cabinet, I remember it.

Now you have some peace and quiet and the space, you can play around for hours without being disturbed.

You have some really nice stuff in your collection and all those good books so it will take you some time to set things up how you want them.
Its very satisfying when everything is in its place and on display.

Have fun Captain ,its what its all about.

Btw Captain, my son is here for the Christmas holiday, I love him dearly but I also love the peace and quiet when he leaves.

God Bless America.

Yes, peace and quiet.......it is sooooo nice........now to get rid of my mother-in-law! My wife went and picked her up last Saturday. She lives around 60 miles away, and does drive, but not on the freeway. However, my wife is taking her back home tomorrow......my mother-in-law is pretty quiet, though.
