So I've packed up my little collection, which seems to have grown a bit since I last took stock of it, geez, where'd they come from?? My collection packed up in the corner of the basement, waiting for the movers. Lord help them if any get damaged. Photos attached.

That's a mountain of diecast!! Although for a happy home I try not to let my wife see all of my collection in the same place.............and at the same time!

This is a good practice to keep. Unfortunately, with the movers fast approaching, I had to spill the beans and break them all out. Well, almost all. My 1:48 scale FM Ju-52 is still hidden under the stairs somewhere. Hopefullly the movers will just sneak it into a box when shes' not looking. Fortunately, with me taking a transfer (and promotion ) in Northern Ontario, much closer to my wife's parents, she's been very, let's say, forgiving about the unannounced purchases over the last few years, and has actually purchased me 2 new Detolf's and extra shelves for the growing collection. Its amazing what moving your family a thousand kilometres closer to family will do. Should have done it sooner.

Promotion = more money = more planes???? We could be on to something here.

The last time we moved, I packed all of my collection in Rubbermaid Roughneck totes. They keep the boxes protected plus it helps with the actual move itself. They are also a great way to keep the boxes protected once the collection is on display again.
