Re: Modern Fighters collection & More

Hm, I think the idea with medals next to diecast models is a good one. I think I should dust off some old German ones I have and buy some American ones...

I am going to experiment on that...AA

I have the Blue Max medal framed in a shadow box as well ( a picture exist buried in a thread somewhere on here ) and displayed it next to MVR's Red Triplane. I also have a replica of Erich Hartmann's medal with oak leaves/swords and diamonds framed and ready to display once I acquire his 32nd Corgi Bf 109.

Re: Modern Fighters collection & More

What model is that Sundowners F14?

The sundowners is a Dragon CyberHobby F-14 Miss Molly.
JP

Is that a Witty stand for the Dragon Wolf Pack F-16C? I still not couldn't fit the pilot figure provided into my 2001 Tiger Meet F-16C. How did you do it?

Yes it's a Witty stand for the Wolfpack F-16...As for the pilot i had to trim his legs a litttle to make it fit right.
JP
Some nice shots there JP, those patches add a lot to the presentation.
The Stearman looks great too! It's awesome you have such a personal piece in your collection.

I think the patches went well the the planes that represents them and yes the PT-17 is my priceless piece...Very thankful to have it.

To the rest of you thanks for the compliments..Icing on the cake you bet it is Jim.My favorite plane.

Re: Modern Fighters collection & More

Great collection there Starman. Who would you say makes the best F16? I got one Dragon but also want to get a bomb armed Israeli Witty.

Thanks...As for the best F-16...Thats a hard one for me to answer because the Dragon bird is pretty darn good looking ...I have more Wittys F-16's as you can see ....I like both.

Yes..The PT-17 Stearman model is the color of his plane.
We have these in color 8mm flim as well....Later on the family will be trying to put them on a DVD disc.
The old flims are starting to show their age.Hope they can get it remastered as well.

I took the time to put out some of my 1/72nd MB after dusting the shelfs.
You gotta hand it to MB they did a good job on there planes.
Now time to dust the top shelf...Missed a spot...
