Re: WWII Aviation Gear

Nice pic! I always wanted to assemble some WWII gear for a complete uniform, but have been unsuccessful so far.

Re: WWII Aviation Gear

I have some modern jet helmets and oxygen masks from U.S. and Soviet airforce. A complete jet pilot gear including a pair of speed-jeans (G-suit chaps). One Navy/Marine issued
leather flight cap from WWII and some other crap thrown for good measure. I'm currently pursuing to acquire some modern jet helmet/oxygen mask used by the RAF and French Airforce.
Man, I tell you....collecting this stuff is one illness you and I will never be cured of that's for sure!

Re: WWII Aviation Gear

I have searched for a long time for a genuine leather WW11 fighter pilots helmet.
Phew have you seen the price of them, I gave up, I just couldnt justify spending £200 plus on one.

Correction, £300 plus, it seems the price of these keeps on going up.

Re: WWII Aviation Gear

Well, let's see. I have all the USAAF SSI patches, a pair of medical corps pins, and an ashtry. Should I look at these as the beginning of something, or rather the end of something?

The pictures are awesome!

That has to be a supply room for a movie company!

I have been to the Air Museum in Athens and they have NOTHING like your collection.

Good going! And some guys merely collect baseball cards....

Re: WWII Aviation Gear

Here's a few more photo's of my collection. BTW, I still collect WWII aviation gear. If anyone might have anything lying around that you want to turn into cash, or trade for. Please let me know. I collect Army Air Corps, Navy, British, and German.
