Nice Collection! I imagine the impact of all those big planes in person must be considerable.

Nice collection you have. Those heavies really look like they are banking hard. How did you get them to display that way? My stands all have a much more moderate bank.

I push the cradel hard over before putting the model on, but they don't go far. I add the extra bank by putting the model into the cradel at an angle.
The stands are good, as the model can bank over alot, without it toppling over. You have to check the model is stable ....and keep the cat away.

Very nice collection, DC. I concur with you on the 32nd Bader Spitfire too!

Wow, look at all those Lancs! I'm jealous. Great collection you've got there. I'd love to see some more closeups.

I only display the 4 work horse Lancasters now. That Suger, George, Prune and Augsburg. I have the Pathfinder, Dambuster and Grandslam, but I don't like the lack of turrets. I have therefore banished them to the loft.

I did have the Memorial Flight, but I am not keen on models of modern day display warbirds........ I swapped it for a GMP Preddy Mustang and a Corgi 1/32 Green Old crow.

Looking forward to the Halifax now

I started collecting this year and felt lucky to nab the sights and sounds plane, oddball dorsal turret and all. : (

Earth Quake

Hello

We had an Earth Quake in England this morning....... a 4.7 and in lasted only 5 seconds.

However, B24 Jerks , B17 BOL and B17 Mount N Ride all ended up on the floor.

By good luck, both the B17's had no damage at all........ they build em strong.

B24 Jerks is dead and will have to be replaced. This is not too bad, as it is still around in the UK for only £30.
