Re: FormerViperDriver Collection

Mr. Jim,
Speaking french can only be a good thing for all... very useful for brits who use to spend their time in France... prepare you retirement

They tried to force me to learn French at school. I never felt the same about it after that, Heck I can hardly speak English.

God Bless America.

Re: FormerViperDriver Collection

Yeah, I kind of wrote that in one of my posts above... in French though.

Anyway, the couple of sentences in French really have no interesting content as far as diecast is concerned. I won't do it again, though, I promiss.

Hey, Starman, looks like you know enough German that you might enjoy reading "The Awful German Language" by Mark Twain. You can Google it on the net. Very, very funny, but you have to know at least a little bit of German to appreciate what he is talking about...

Recent updates to the collection: Ina The Macon Belle (EI) and the two GMPs I got on e-bay. Plus "Showtime 100" from FM/Armour.

Yes, I was impressed with the marked improvement in quality compared to my early CDC "Olds" and VF-111 versions, although even those were pretty good.

Re: FormerViperDriver Collection

This is one fine collection FVD. When you pop your clogs, I will have you buried like an Egyptian Pharaoh ……….. and then get me grave robbing gear on.

I hope you never have to move house, because its going to be hell .

Yes, it's a plastic kit; if I remember well (it's been a few years) it is made by this make called "Classic Airframes." Not sure that still exists. A friend made it for me. I still hope someday someone will make a diecast version, but so far only IXO has done it in 1/72 (the exact same livery as my model, BTW, an interesting coincidence). I also have a 1/32 plastic model of the D.520 that someday I will build, or have my friend build for me when he has time. That would go well with my Corgi 1/32s.
