Re: Kirk's Collection

You guys are the only ones I know who enjoy this stuff as much as me........

.............WEIRDOS!......................

BTW, everybody FYI....jim likes P-40s.....(and also seems to harbor some desire to see Lorraine with a stud on his upcoming birthday)...seems we're learning more and more about our cuz from Yorkshire all the time

HOLD UP THERE STRIPEY, whats wrong with being weird???? I have been weird all my life and really enjoyed it.

As to your other point, If Lorraine touchs my Stud she will be sleeping in the dog pen. She only has to walk past my models and bits drop off them. Its the same with my computor, every time she goes near it the d.mn thing crashes!!!!

A bet others on the Hanger have the same problem.

I hope you liked my post about all the racey and fun things your cuz in Yorkshire has going on around him. I think I shall post a weekly report of the local action just to make you all jealous.

How about this for a cool night out, A talk on eggshell painting is going to be held at the Southowram community center next Tuesday evening. Mrs Hargreaves will be showing her varied collection of Victorain eggshells and Mrs Sutcliffe will accompany her on the piano ! ! (it would be easier by car I would have thought). Tea and scones will be served. entrance fee will be £1 proceeds to help the aged. (I wonder if they mean me, There could be a diecast or two from the proceeds).

BTW Lorraine is weird as well so we make a good couple, I do worry about her collection of cauldrons though and her liking for black cats, not the corgi variety.

God Bless America.

Re: Kirk's Collection

Great collection Captain Kirk ( I didn't see the Enterprise. Where do you keep it? )

How often do you dust them all? Do you have a strict rotation policy ( i.e. every plane gets a thorough cleaning every so often ) about maintaining them in pristine condition? My house in Glasgow is an old Victorian job, so the dust problem is hell to cope with.

I only have about a dozen planes on display, so they're not a nuisance; it's the hundreds of AFVs which take a lot of care and attention when dusting.

By the way, Jim, I would look out for signs of a broomstick. If you see one, head for the hills!

Here we use running water to fend off witches ( they cannot cross a running stream! ). Also, if you plant a rowan tree at the gateway, no harm can come to you from the minions of Baelzebub!

Re: Kirk's Collection

It takes me a full day to dust the planes and the shelves. That's something I will be doing within the next couple of days.

Re: Kirk's Collection

Fine looking planes you've got here. Although the downward-slanted A-10 tail still bugs me. I'm waiting on that one (for the corrected models).

That GMP BBD looks especially good.

Re: Kirk's Collection

Very nice collection. I see you have a GMP Petie 3........... my Mustang of the moment.

You have chosen well

Why do you display the He111 with wheels down , on the stand

Those sandbags look like FOV ....supplied with tanks...... do you have tanks as well
