Re: Ara's 1/48 birds

Nice collection of FM planes Ara! The B-24 is absolutely gorgeous and the Hellcat is very nice also. I like the Cleopatra......for an FM P-40. It's just hard to look past the perfectly conical prop. Maybe you could replace the prop with a 48 scale model one!

Thanx Trex! Ya know, I might just replace that hub --- I have a few of the Otaki kits, I'll check them and see if they are shaped better!

Re: Ara's 1/48 birds

You have guts letting Mr. Kitty near your models Ara. Yikes! I walked into my office one day and found my cat using the nose pitot tube on one of my jets as a precision face scratcher Cheddah now gets redirected when he journeys in for a visit (or the door stays shut!).

Nice pics of the Ju-52 too. I am able to resist only because I want it with the aforementioned red band and swazi on the tail. But who knows? It is so sharp I may have to get one anyway.

Yes, I know the temptation. You know Black 6, someday I'd love to own a sister ship, with the red swazi tail! Because that's a huge part of the Ju 52's aesthetic as well!

Ara, I agree the FM Hurricanes are really nice. IMHO, they are really overlooked compared to all of the other planes from FM. I love the Billy Fiske Hurricane that I own, and I got it for $30 to boot!
