Re: Ara's 1/48 birds

Hey ZS-VAN,

Sorry for the delay in posting. I was away in Phoenix.

No, I haven't got that SBD yet, I hope the Mint comes out with another similar version, as they are in the business to presumably make money. It's no secret this version is highly sought.

Hi Ara,

you got a Part Nr. for that SBD?

I am specialized in hunting down rare birds.

Cheers,
AA

Re: Ara's 1/48 birds

Nice planes Ara! That B-24 is verrrrrry niiice. I wouldn't mind having that FAA Hellcat in my collection (I was very disappointed that HM canceled the one planned this year).

That Ju-52 is another version I wouldn't mind making room for on my shelves. I cannot see by the pic, but does it have the red band and swazi across the rudder? Very cool if it does.

Also, they did a nice job on the B-25 that Corgi messed-up.

A good collection my friend. You'll have to post updated pics when your new additions arrive.

Thanks Black 6,

Yes the Hellcat is great and it, along with my (not pictured here) Tuck Hurricane are the 2 diecasts "allowed" by my "significant udder" to be displayed in one of our public areas (on top of our wooden TV stand, amongst the crawling vines.)

The B-24 is cool. As most owners of the FM heavies will attest, you really have to think about how you're going to pick this baby up when you examine it! It takes leverage, man!

The Ju 52 does not have the swazi or red band, it is depicted in its pure airliner form, just before the Nazi's asserted control over Lufthansa. I do not mind it missing at all .

Thanks for looking! You have a great collection, too!

If you get a chance, could you post some more images of the Ju 52? It looks pretty sharp and would like to see a bit of a side shot.

Re: Ara's 1/48 birds

Nice collection of FM planes Ara! The B-24 is absolutely gorgeous and the Hellcat is very nice also. I like the Cleopatra......for an FM P-40. It's just hard to look past the perfectly conical prop. Maybe you could replace the prop with a 48 scale model one!
