Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection

I just snagged another Corgi Bf 109E on eBay, but nothing like the prices I paid for the other day though. Picked up the 49203 7.JG51 Werner Molders Messerschmitt Bf-109E. I will now have 12 different Corgi Bf 109Es. Just need to hunt down one of the Flying Mule Fw 190s and will complete my Corgi Fw 190s.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Do you have Wick’s AA32102 Messerschmitt Bf109E-4 I./JG 2 if so where and when did you get it?

That is one I am still hunting for. The final five that I am looking for should be down right next to impossible hard to dig up.

1. 49204 Bf109E Hans Joachim Marseille
2. AA32102 Bf109E-4 Hauptmann Helmut Wick
3. AA99127 Bf109E Heinz Bar
4. AA32108 Messerschmitt Bf109E-7/Trop Franzisket 'Battle Weary
5. AA32111 Messerschmitt Bf109E IWM Duxford Modelzone Commission Series 1
(No Corgi Warbird models, just cannot get into them)

I have only been collecting Corgi aircraft now for a little over two years, so think I have done pretty good so far (Started off a bit earlier picking up some of Corgis tank models.). I really do enjoy looking for these models.

I know that this may be direct and none of my business, but did you get the Molders with the starting bid being $60.00 and is that what was paid for it? I ask that because I was considering bidding on it yesterday when the seller had the bid at $35.00, but mysteriously today he had changed it to $60.00 and that was more than I was willing. Just curious and did not know if you knew the opening bid was raised by the seller prior to anyone actually bidding on it.

That is the one. I have a feeling the seller was concerned the model would only have gone for $35.00 he had listed it as. It was a little pricey, but after the deals I got earlier this week, felt pretty good with it. There was another hard to find Corgi Bf 109E (Franz von Werra) that went for just a little over $50.00 yesterday, thought it might have gone a bit higher.

I know the same seller was also selling the Donald Duck Spitfire and last I saw that model it was at $86.00. I hate having to sit on the sidelines (self and wife imposed restriction on spending til April) right now when there are some nice pieces of diecast on the bay.

The Werner Molders Bf 109E will be my last purchase for awhile too. Have three models on the way, so at least have something to look forward too.

Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection

Big box of planes from the Mule and another box from a MH 2 member (thanks Black 6!) came today.

Witty Wings Sea Fury (WTW72015-008) in Royal Canadian Navy colours circa 1949. Now that I have one, I will definitely be purchasing the other RCN Sea Fury:

My latest Dragon Wings Messerschmitt, a Bf 109G-6 (DRW50255) as flown by Josef Jansen:

The latest Dragon Wings P-51D to fly in - "Lil Margaret" (DRW50002):

Two exceptionally dashing new Gemini Aces P-51Bs - "The Hun Hunter from Texas" (GAUSA2006N) as flown by Henry Brown & "Berlin Express (GAUSA2004) as flown by Wlliam Overstreet. I couldn't be happier with them... and I can't wait to get my other Geminis:

"The Hun Hunter from Texas":

"Berlin Express":

My three new Russian birds by Easy Model: two Yak-3s (EM37227 and EM37228) and a P-40E Warhawk (EM37275) displayed with the MiG-3, P-39 Airacobra & Hurricane II I already had:

Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection

I love your Mustang collections, Chris! You should get some more of Dragon's P-51Ds.
