Does Vietnam Conflict aircraft interest you?

I was just wondering with now there being some 1:72 Vietnam era aircraft coming out how many of you are collecting that series?

Re: Does Vietnam Conflict aircraft interest you?

I would be interested in a Thunderchief, and a Skyraider... The Thud would be camo and the Raider could be either camo or gray..

Re: Does Vietnam Conflict aircraft interest you?

I would love an F-105, F-102, F-89, F-101, F-84. Bring them on.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Does Vietnam Conflict aircraft interest you?

Corgi already made a nice 'Vietnam' Phantomn which is very popular with collectors which makes me think that there would be some demand for more of the stuff. Personally I prefer the prop types such as the Skyraider and the Bronco.

Re: Does Vietnam Conflict aircraft interest you?

Heck, the F-4, F-105, and F-8 are the definitive fixed wing aircraft of that era, but we've only seen the F-4 in diecast thus far.

Wallet ready and open Skyraider next, F100 from Witty and F4E from Century Wings if the rumours are true

Re: Does Vietnam Conflict aircraft interest you?

I would definitely collect more Viet Nam era aircraft. I can't wait for the Skyraider. My personal addition would be the OV-10 Bronco but I doubt I'll ever get that puppy in diecast. I used to have a model when I was a teenager but it is gone to the bin since then I guess.

Re: Does Vietnam Conflict aircraft interest you?

Truth be told, aircraft of the jet age are not a priority to me (unless, they are painted in Israeli Air Force Colors) so my preference will depend on alternatives available.

That is to say if Vietnam conflict (what about French Airforce planes from the 1950s war?) aircraft takes the place of yet another Bf-109E/F/G, P-51D or Spitfire, then by all means I'll buy something new.

However, if the choice will boil to a contest between WWII Soviet, Japanese, Italian or French plane, heck even Dutch Fokker in Finnish livery, I'll go for WWII aircraft each time over Vietnam era machine.

Regards,

Sergey
