Re: UPDATED Starman's Collection

In regards to the tail wheel, I can over look it for the simple reason is it was copied from the REAL aircraft sitting in the hangar. I can overlook a mistake that was made, because the real aircraft was sitting there. At least someone actually went and looked at one before they made it. I think it is kind of cool to tell people why the tail wheel is that way on the model.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: UPDATED Starman's Collection

It would look good if you had it in a dio and could get a few 1/35 scale figures pushing on the front of the wings.....otherwise I would be one of those who would just have to do corrective surgery...(tailwheelotomy?)

Re: UPDATED Starman's Collection

Hi JP, I dont collect jets but those Phantoms look really tempting, and I mean tempting.
If only I had the room for them.

BTW you have a superb collection of P40s there, obviously you are a man that appreciates the history and importance of those old girls.
Did I tell you I bought the Exterminater, Wonderful model, almost perfection in diecast, (dont tell anyone about the tailwheel)!

Amazing that you have a P40 signed by Tex Hill, priceless.

God Bless America.

Nope i have been a good boy.....My Dad and i made a trade i really liked that SJ and i could not find one anywhere for a good price so i offered him
my "Pistol Packing Mama" B-24 which i never really cared for and from him i got SJ B-17 ..I thought that was a good deal....
That SJ B-17 just grew on me ...One nice looking bird......Yes that is a Richie Phantom...sweet too.....Three of these Phantoms stay at my place but i bought them for my Dad..My mom don't really care to much for these 1:48 planes in her house ya know "she told me their to darn big get them out of my house..So the big ones stay here...I don't mind it ..Looks nice...But now i'm in trouble of running out of space....I really need to get pictures of my Dad's collection of 1:72nd planes he has a great looking WWI planes in there....But most of the WWI planes are plastic models he has built over the years i know Capt. Eddie would love to see it..
