Re: UPDATED Starman's Collection

Hey, Starman, I didn't know that FM ever made WW I birds. Pretty good looking Camel there, though it appears the engine panel is just painted on? In that large of a scale, they could do better than that!

Mahogany Wood Models were made for a short time by Franklin Mint...They made the Fokker Dr.1 "MVR" , Sopwith Camel "Roy Brown" and The Spirit of St.Louis "Lindbergh" all in 1:24 scale.

Re: UPDATED Starman's Collection

.................................................. ...PAST AND PRESENT WARBIRDS.......................................... ..............
WWI collection of planes mixed with Matchbox Spads , Hallmark Spads , Corgi Albatros & Scout , Carousel1 Fokker and Franklin Mint A-10
all in 1:48 scale...That A-10 takes up just as much room as all the WWI fighters do..Thats a big bird.
Wish they make more WWI aircrafts too.

Re: UPDATED Starman's Collection

Well i finally had the chance to put up some of my new planes for my collection..I got the Hackl from flyXwire it's a TM sale bird too...Thanks for the great plane Joey. This Hackl was suppose be for my Dad but he didn't like it.....So i took it in..
The figures i got from TM corgi sale too...Look real close and you will see the MVR figure i got too...He's chit chatting with the aces...I hid my Speedracer 1:32 diecast car in there so my kid can't take it..lol......I also added a few more warbirds of the pacific
such as the PBY Black Cat from motormint for i think 69.00 shipped i can't remember for sure it was a good deal too. Also picked up the SBD from Thundra and a a few others Hellcat & Wildcat.
If you look real close at the P-38 lightning of Tommy McGuire's P-38 it has landing gears on it...It's a Corgi warbird and the gear door popped right off allowing me to put on extra P-38 landing gears i got from a friend.
And the last picture you see the BBMF set " Phantom of the Ruhr" look real close i used the Hailfax stand for it...It works so much better then the Lancaster stand that came with it and i put up the Hurricane and Spitfire with it too.
Well thats it for now...Until next time
Happy collecting..
JP

Re: UPDATED Starman's Collection

Nice JP -- what's the Jeep with the seated pilot figs in it, that's not a TM set?

And who makes that 1:32 Corsair -- is it BBI, "Big Hog"??

Looks nice.... hmmmmmmmmmm.

it's a FOV 1:32 Jeep and the Corsair is a 1:32 from 21st Century Toys.

Re: UPDATED Starman's Collection

Great looking display JP! The 32/35 scale planes are impressive. Now if only one of the big boys would just make the Corsair in 32 in diecast you'd be able to the replace the plastic 21CT with some heft.

Re: UPDATED Starman's Collection

I like that Big Hog displayed down low, mine's high up. Who makes the MVR figure? I really like these figures and have several now. The Oryon ones are pretty good too Starman and so are the Frontline Figures Air Wars ones. It's a great setup buddy. If you told the crew that Corsair was a HM proto nobody would question it.

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.
