o.k. they are here already. Here are a few of the Russian prop jobbies I have managed to collect. The Winter Sturmovik is an authentic Soviet made model in 1/72 metal. It was originally green. I never finished the project and would love to get a volunteer to do with it as he wishes. The rest of the Russian planes are IXO and Altayas. I hope one day to get a good Mig 3 and the Altaya IL-2 with the white tail. I was not overly impressed with Altayas attempt at the Mig 3.

Looks good Louie - that's a healthy little Russian contingent you have there. Looks like your missing the Yak-3 and I'm missing the Yak-9, but your pics have inspired me to get it now. I'd like the Altaya Il-2 as well and hope IXO comes through soon as overseas prices (and one US eBayer) seem to be holding a bit high for this one. Maybe Diecast Direct can tell us if there's hope.

Have you seen the Mig-3 in person? I don't have it so I'm curious to know what don't you like?

Otherwise, I have a few Soviet 'customs' in the works that will be joining the collection, but more on that when the time comes....

The Il-10 came straight from Portugal ala Altaya. The Mig 3 is not too bad I was just not crazy about it as I want one in green. I suggest using your own judgement on that one it is unfair to say it was poorly done although I found the prop blades to be a little too skinny to my liking. Thanks for the compliments guys. I skipped the Yak 3 in favor of the 9. The Polikarpov is a neat little plane perhaps I can provide better pics later.
