Re: Mustangdriver's happy place

Thanks for the great comments guys. The F-105 and B-58 are both in 1/48th scale. The PT-109 and PBR boats were kits that I built. The PT is 1/72nd, and the PBR is 1/35th. My collection is primarily 1/32-1/35th,1/48th, 1/72, with some 1/144th mixed in. Also notice the P-80 windscreen in front of the TV that I am going to restore.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Mustangdriver's happy place

I am pretty good about dusting them, although to do the whole place it takes about 2 days.

MD, How are you going to display the windscreen once you've restored it?

Re: Mustangdriver's happy place

Thanks AA I can't wait to see her. Trex, I plan on bringing it back to it's natural metal shine, installing the plexigalss, and then installing it on a cockpit section of a T-33 that I am working on acquiring. I plan to have the cockpit in my garage which is just through the door of the gameroom.

I see where you're going with this....what you're saying is that you'll have either a full mock-up or fully restored and air worthy T-33 in a few years? Cool, I get first dibs as a passenger!

BTW, how are you going to get the thing into the game room?

Re: Mustangdriver's happy place

Funny! It is actually going to be in the garage that is through the door from the gameroom. I have two old cars in there as well. The downstairs of my house is my play area. Ha Ha. As for a flying airplane, I am in the mist of restoring a T-6 Texan.

So how's that going, MD?
