Re: My small collection

Thanks for the info could I get a close up picture of the bird; is there any chance you might have a lead on were I might be able to get one for myself?

I cropped this from an existing picture. Hope this is clear enough. Did you try finding it on ebay? This series is almost gone from the shelves from the stores here.

Wink My small collection - updated

Last edited by valkyrie : 06-03-2007 at 07:37 AM. Reason: Inserting images
With my second child, a boy, getting more mobile and curious with days, I have decided to shift all my collection to the storeroom (which also double up as a bomb shelter - I am still not sure how functional the shelter is with apartments going as high as 50 storeys here in Singapore). Anyway, would like to share some pictures with all of you. I had initially wanted to get the Ikea glass cabinets which now come in 3 different colors but in the end I went for a Billy bookcase which is on sale for a week and just one will be able to hold all my collection.

Re: My small collection

Very Nice! I love it when members post pics of their collections.

An invitation to show off? I have to do a little re-arranging. I will have to clear one shelf for the arrival of my few 1:48 and 1:45 (Spec-Cast). I will need to use my makeup brush and dust a few.

Thanks for the invitation.

Huh? It's not my intention to show off my collection. Personally I also like to see other members' collection. Sorry if this bothers you.

It should be your intention to show off. I show off my collection whenever I get the chance.
Be proud and show off all the time.
I love my collection, and I showed it off on the Hanger.

When I get it sorted out I will show it off again.

A nice treat in store for the boys on the Hanger, they will get to see all my lovely P40s displayed in all their grandeur..

Nice collection Dux, wheres the P40s?

God Bless America.

Re: My small collection

You should be proud to show off your collections....Half of us have done it one time or another on the forum.
It's nice to see what other members have ......and sometimes i'll spot a plane i have never seen before and next thing you know i'm
getting one for my own collection.

Re: My small collection

Nice collection Dux, wheres the P40s?

Right above the shelf (a book case, of course, to match the other book case on the other side of the TV/Media Room) with the Spitfires.

I saw the latest P-40 in Wal-Mart. I really want the one with the skull, but not in 1:48. Yesterday I moved out (and up) the bombers to the top of another shelf (the DVD shelf) so I can display the big boys.

I don't think it is "showing off" in the "You big showoff" sense. Not at all. I show off the new car, the new suit, a new plane. We actually "show our displayed models." Maybe that is better? We are not showoffs--even those who showed in the dollars spent per month poll. I never thought they were "showoffs." I have my budget, my priorities, my space limitations. I know my limitations--at least at this point.

Thanks for the comments.

Smile Re: My small collection

Sorry duxford. I misinterpreted your earlier message. I enjoy viewing members' display for reference (esp. those models I do not have) as well as for ideas on how to display them.

Re: My small collection

Hello Dux, is that an IXO I see before me? and you got the Stud. Me too and I think they are just fine.
The Stud had a little bit of a hard time on the Hanger but I really like it. its good to have something different on the shelf.

You have a superb collection well displayed sir, and may I say you are a man of particular good taste.

God Bless America.
