Not to beat a dead horse but was the main wing really stiff when lifting it, could you have lifted it higher than you did in the picture without fear of damaging the wing or paint?

Re: NP00 Fighting Checkmates F-8 Pics

Are the overhead ejection seat handles there? I can't seem to see evidence of it in the pics. The reason I'm asking is that there is a chance that you can snap the handles off when trying to insert the pilot. I had a hard time inserting the pilot of my NP00.

I really like the way it looks clean with only 4 sidewinders. Good to hear they'll be in our hands soon.

Yes they are and they are one of the reasons why its so hard to get the damn pilot into the cockpit

I did have to remove the ejection seat rings in order to get the pilot in. I was too busy, at the time I took the pics, to get the pilot fully seated so that's why you can't see them in my first batch of pics. A few hours latter, I wiggled the pilot into place and re-installed the rings. I don't know if the rings were intended to be removed but I would not have been able to get the pilot in with the rings in place.

I didn't realize that the overhead ejection handles can be removed. Learned something new today. Thanks!
