Re: Which CW will become most rare?

Guys there are U.S only limited editions ( of only 1,000 models) of the Jolly Rogers F-14 coming to the USA around July/August. Why don't you guys go for one of those instead? Your local diecast dealer should have them on pre-order.

Oh yeah, and to stay on topic and not turn this thread into a "good deals" thread
For most rare My votes go for the Black Aces or the VX-4. There were many JR Tomcats done the VX's were Japan only and the Black Aces as a whole flew off the dealer shelves and residuals are fading away with a few last gasps here and there.

I'd like to have 200, 201 and 210 if I could

I would say Vandy is to become the most rare CW model.

Re: Which CW will become most rare?

I think more people now own the Black Bunny than AJ200. Ever since people on this board found out about HLJ's supply, they have been eating them up (myself included) but nobody has AJ200 Jolly Rogers for sale. Had to get mine off the bay, and even there they're rare. I'd put AJ200 tied with VX-4 just because so many of us were able to get them from HLJ.

My vote would also be Vandy, followed by AJ210. Glad i've them stashed away, along with AJ200

Take it out and play with it

Talking Re: Which CW will become most rare?

I really dont know which one would be the most rare. If I would have to guess I'd say the Black Bunny and Blck Aces. They are 2 great looking Tom Cats.

Since every body seem's to be looking for the AJ200 maybe I should consider trading mine off.Say a couple of Eagles International P-51's would be nice.

Re: Which CW will become most rare?

Well, in my personal experience.

VX-4 Vandy was the most difficult. With that said, I was able to get 3 from Japan and I shared 2 of them with forum members.

AJ202 was the next hardest to get. Yesterday my friend returned from Japan with 2 AJ202s. I could not thank her enough.

AJ200 is also very difficult to find.

ZS-VAN: You had a chance to get an AJ200 VF-84 Tomcat? Where? I want to contact that person!!

When I got the model there were three at Cornwall Models in the UK. At the time I posted on the AJ210 thread. I think there were also AJ202s. At the time I had a lead on the AJ210 from back in January but just this week the contact advised that it was not to be.

OK, I've just dug up the old thread. I also hooked up those interested with the US connection.

Re: Which CW will become most rare?

Before I joined this forum almost one year ago, I thought I was the only idiot collecting model aircraft in the world! And I thought I knew about every model that was ever made. You guys humbled me when you introduced me to CW's Tomcats. I now have four and may get more. When I discovered them, AJ-200 (limited 2,000) was already sold out so I got the AJ-210 (limited 1,000) that had just come out. I would have preferred the AJ-200 since it was the first CW Tomcat and AJ version. I don't think any other Tomcat or AJ version will be nearly as collectible as the first release (not even the upcoming AJ-201 (limited 1,000). CW will probably keep on making AJ versions for a long time since it appears to be so popular. My favorite and most expensive Tomcat is the Black Aces (limited 1,000).
