Re: More of these please

?? I really do not want to mess with anyone here... but are You completely out of Your senses??

NOT INTERESTED in any of these rare and - from the historical point of view - unimportant, underpowered exotics. There are quite more powerful and important aircraft to do first like F-111, F-105 and so on.

Don't know if I'd refer to the T-33 as "rare" or "unimportant" from a historical point of view. It may not have the combat record of the F-111 or the F-105, but it helped train a whole generation of jet pilots in the Western world...

Re: More of these please

Hope you're happy with these Shawn. Chrome and all !!

I like the US birds. If I was into the colorful other user nation birds those would be great. But I collect the home team mostly.

One could say the same about a German F-4F, F-104 or Tornado.

They could. But there are several German liveries out there in several scales that say otherwise.

German Tornadoes have already seen combat and an F-4F undoubtfully produces SOUND in the air. So: did Strikemasters do so? A rethorical question, I think. If it really has to be something from NZ, it should be an A-4 in SEA livery and nothing else.

The only thing I have to relativate in my opinion is the T-33. I just oversaw it first. I must admit, it is really difficult to find an equal important aircraft in the training role; maybe the L-29 on the other side of the "iron curtain".

We all have our likes and dislikes; the interested and the not so interested and the favs and the not so favs. Each has his own reason for liking and disliking.Unimportant ? Underpowered ? Each and every plane in any Air Force plays a very important role in the defence of their country. Be it powerful or underpowered. Having powerful weapons does'nt mean you'll always win a war.
