Re: Anyone interested in another A-6

Sorry, but it looks too much like the "Last Flight" A-6E, which I already have, to me.

I've said before that I'd like Century Wings to do a few USAF jets---like an F-15C and F-15E and an SR-71. The current Witty and Dragon 1/72 diecast F-15s lack pilots, and/or up/down landing gear and full payloads---something CW's Navy jets are reasonably good at having. It's obvious the plastic companies, for whatever reason, continue to crank out repaints of 1/32 FW-190s and P-51s while ignoring modern jets.

Re: Anyone interested in another A-6

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for VMA(AW)-121, and 242. Would be really nice to have a couple of A6 diecast of squadrons that I supported !

Roger that, Mike! In my case, it would be for the F-14. That's why I keep lobbying for CW to make Miss Molly!

Re: Anyone interested in another A-6

I know this is a little off subject, but does anybody know of any books about Navy/USAF squadrons with illustrations? The illustrations that Deployment Productions do are great, and I'd be interested in a book with those kinds of examlples. Thanks.

Re: Anyone interested in another A-6

Here is a low-vis from VA-155 from Desert Storm. Who would go for the low-vis version?

Re: Anyone interested in another A-6

hmmm.... difficult to say for me... I think I would consider it being interesting to see a Prowler being done... but first, I would rather like to have an RA-5 Vigilante.

Anyway, after the F-8, wouldn´t the Vigilante be CW´s most logical next step in following their "just U.S. Navy jets" policy?

I'm with ya muesingman...the Vigi would be a great choice!

Nothing composed soley of illustrations, but Osprey's books always have a dozen or two profiles very much like Deployment does:

Osprey - Aviation - Combat Aircraft

Re: Anyone interested in another A-6

I am posting scans of A-1, A-4, A-6, A-7, F-4, & F-8 profiles from the Squadron/Signal publication “USN Aircraft carrier air units Vol.3 1964-73” in threads relating to manufactures who are releasing these planes.

Not all profiles shown represent paint schemes which are appropriate for the molds which are being released.

If anyone wants me to post a close up of a particular profile or nose & tail set let me know.

Re: Anyone interested in another A-6

I'd like to see VA-165 Boomers. We all know them as the stars from Flight of the Intruder and it seems CW likes movie planes. If anyone else knows any info on them feel free to share.
