Re: Need help from you guys to decide

Jeez, what is it with you 'Stateside' inbreds ????????

Are you ALL trained up at school to 'mis-spell' & spend a life of servitude at McDonalds ????????

Horndawg, like I explained in an earlier thread- when we took over the title of "world's protector" from the UK, certain rules had to change. One of the rules changed was the spelling rules. Our way of spelling ensures that the English language follows a more logical, common sense approach. Plus, our way of spelling just looks cooler. "Center" is SO much cooler than "Centre".
Another rule is that every country in the world should have at least one McDonald's franchise in it!

HC, now that's not a very nice thing to say about your American cousins....especially b/c the English have a sterotype associated with them that makes them look inbred (hint: teeth).

Anyway, isn't TN a Canuck? They do like their hockey mullets though!

You got a point there- but "Hobby Shop" is than "Hobby Shoppe"...
Plus, not only did we have to change spelling rules, but we had to jettison certain phrases you guys use. I heard that "smoking a fag" is (or was) popular jargon in the UK, but over here, that phrase would be interpreted as someone doing something while hanging out with Senator Craig. Not a good thing to say!
So please forgive me if I stick with the improvements we have brought to the language!

As it goes, Rushie, it's...... "Ye Old Hobby Shoppe" (Lord knows, Shakespeare will NEVER go out of fashion)

I'm afraid I have to conceed re; the (disgusting) word "Fag" = 'batty-boy' (Fudge-Packer) in modern parlance = shame.

Once again, outside influence has corrupted the English Language !!!!!!!!!!!!

In WW.II films, John Mills, David Niven, etc, could openly ask for a 'Fag' ( = smoke)

I do get your point & sadly, agree with ya (on that one at least......)

Re: Need help from you guys to decide

This is very interesting...kinda like opposite day....

tank nut won't get within ten feet of a punctuation mark, but.....

Horndawg, Home Church, whatever you name be, can't go a sentence without adding a liberal dose of quotation marks....

Puzzling, to say the least.......

I have the 2nd and 3rd on pre-order. The first one just didn't spin me up. Looking forward to the Colorado ANG version though.

...and so did Rock Hudson...little did we know at the time..... We were quite perplexed though cuz we didn't think he was British.
It's a wacky world....
