Re: A little birdie told me!

Miss Molly was on both sides of the plane. A lot of models and books are wrong. Plenty of photos have surfaced over the years.

Re: A little birdie told me!

As long as they have different modex #'s, I will be picking them up. (depending on how many different numbers, if more than 1)

Can never have too many Tomcats, or CW for that matter.

Actually, Miss Molly was painted only on the starboard side while deployed onboard Carl Vinson during the 1990 WESTPAC.

Capt. Borchers was CO of Carl Vinson during the 90 WESTPAC, and Capt. Bien was CAG. His nickname was "Ho Chi".
I have seen pics where Miss Molly was indeed painted on both sides of the airplane, but I don't know if that was before or after the 1990 cruise.

Re: A little birdie told me!

I hope they re-issue the VF-111 bird, this time with the 1990 markings (Miss Molly pin-up on the starboard side only).

Yeah Tomcats with nose art cool.

Re: A little birdie told me!

I was unaware there were 2 different variations on Miss Molly. Hmmn. I'll ask the Sundowners historian website guy, see if he knows more.

Re: A little birdie told me!

have'nt a clue! since a certain distributer/promoter complained about not recieving info before a mere mortal like me there are some things i dont get to hear first.
i have suggested to yoshi and uk distributer maybe a joint uk/us special of a certain F-14 unit that most people want[not jolly rogers].
i do know about a possible future release but need to ask the master himself!
