Re: Cw Va-25 A7-e

I definitely agree with the CAGbird issue...I understand why they do it, and I really don't want to complain about a fine product, and I certainly do appreciate CW's willingless to "go where no one's gone before" with their choice of aircraft.

That having been said, if I could ask for just one thing it would be for them to release at least one example each of a down and dirty workhorse in either low-viz, or at least standard fleet markings with a modex that doesn't end in "00".

I think there are more than a few of us out here who would be happy to snag them up.

Other than that, keep up the fine work, Century Wings!...These are just constructive criticisms.

BTW, I think skysurfer made a good catch on the national insignia....It definitely appears too small (fuselage) on the first two A-7s, at least according to my references.

Re: Cw Va-25 A7-e

Seconding the "at least ONE" in low-vis comment. Hey Zed--any chance of that? I mean sure, we know CAG sells. But couldn't Yoshi give us just ONE low-vis plane for each mold? We're not asking for Century to take a chance that half of this year's production won't sell---go ahead and make 20 more high-vis F-14's, but just give us ONE all-grey low-vis plane. They can keep making 99% of their releases bright and colorful, but just give us SOMETHING in low-vis. (and I propose we all vote on it so we get a squadron/markings we like)

Or yeesh---just make one, once, and see if it sells. Make it a half-size run like some of the others. If Yoshi ends up with 1/2 the production run sitting in the warehouse unsold, then we'll all shut up and never ask for low-vis again. But if it sells out in a day.... (VF-103 F-14B dark-tail, please) (And I'll mention again that they already have all the artwork needed to do VF-101 low-vis, since they did VF-101 CAG----just replace the black and red paint with 2 shades of grey---it's simply a color change of the existing artwork, nothing new needs to be designed---it'd cost almost nothing to design and produce) (Of course, since it's just a variation of an existing one, sales would likely be lower since a lot of people already bought the VF-101 release----thus VF-103's a better choice---everyone wants more Jolly Rogers, and we haven't had any F-14B's yet)

Hey, THERE's an idea----make the first F-14B low-vis! It'll sell no matter WHAT scheme it wears, because it'll be the first F-14B!

Re: Cw Va-25 A7-e

So, is a CAG aircraft exclusively flown by the CAG, or is it a used by other pilots aircraft, but has the CAG tail number? Does each squadron have a CAG aircraft, too?

Don't do what BDE tells you to do. Do what BDE would want you to do.

This will be the one A-7 I will add to my collection. Its got a bit o green in it. But I reeeeaaaalllllly want a USAF or ANG scheme, the one above looks nice. Pop out one and I will add a second a-7 to the collection for sure.

Each squadron has a CAG bird, which is generally flown by the CO of the squadron and it has the modex # ending in 00 (in the fleet they call them "double nuts"). This is the colorful bird and sometimes squadrons have a seperate color bird as well, usually with the squadron # in the modex. Although the CO is the one who has his name on the jet, he isn't the only person in the squadron to fly it. The CO gets a lot of exclusive privileges but not one that costs 30+ million.
