Re: Cw Va-25 A7-e

last time i contacted yoshi he said he is about to decide the first scheme for the F-8.
VA-25 A-7 has even surprised me!
very nice scheme though, look out for a book on the SLUF by AIRDOC lots of very colourful schemes, great photo's and profiles.

Yes, I definitely want to hear some news on the F-8. As nice as this VA-25 A-7E looks, I was kind of disappointed to see a third A-7E announced with no further news on the F-8.

Yet another CAG bird,... great imagination these guys have.

It's not imagination, it's called business sense. They know CAG birds are going to appeal to the masses and that's more important than appealing to a handful of people on the model hangar.

Re: Cw Va-25 A7-e

Oh man, I'm going to be broke too! This particular version of VA-25 was my most-wanted of all A-7E's---but this could be a good thing---I won't have to buy any more for a while after VA-86 and this come out, as then I'll have all the A-7E's I could ever want (unless VA-93 comes out). Now give us some A-7D's in ANG paint!

Tripoli, re your post; the Marines never operated the A-7. VA-27 (Fist of the Fleet) operated in West Pac and, when "in port", was based at Lemorre NAS.

VA-27's squadron name was "Royal Maces". You're right about the Marines not buying the A-7.

Re: Cw Va-25 A7-e

I think Tripoli was referring to the Moonlighters A-6..

Re: Cw Va-25 A7-e

That is correct, we have a CW Marine A-6, so why not an ANG/USAF A-7. Tsk tsk, get a new aircraft model out and they forget soooo quickly.

Yeah CAG birds will appeal to the masses but CW are not building such limited quantities at such prices to appeal to the mass market. Wal Mart caters to the mass market.
CW is building high priced collectors models for the likes of the people on the model hanger, the same ones who buy their offerings and eagerly await each new release.
Is it wrong to ask for models/markings we want?.... we do it all the time. It it wrong to be derisive when we don't like what we see?,... we do it all the time.
Does a manufacturer need to hear our opinions and listen to them.
It would probably be a good idea for them to do just that.

Cool, we have been expecting an F-8 to hit the shelves real soon and they have not even decided which scheme it will be.
Have they even got production going ?
