Re: Choose The Next Release

I'll bet my Marushin Betty that the next CW release will be the F-8! After that - is anybody's guess. I hope it'll be a Thud or One Eleven.

Re: Choose The Next Release

I would buy the SR-71, several in a 1/72 scale. That would be an awesome replica to have!

Hey trip! I'll take one SR-71 too but why would you want several? Don't they all look the same? They'll be pricey too!

Re: Choose The Next Release

You have the BlacK SR-71s, the NASA white tail SR-71s and the Boeing museum silver SR-71 pictured here:

There were several squadrons with slight changes in the tail scheme, but mostly the same look. I would go for both "looks" but this was just such a super aircraft, I would want a couple just for the display of them. Right now, I have bought two of each type of CW aircraft produced, one for myself and one for my son's own collection. I have the newest A-7 on order now which will go to him, I am hoping for a AF bird myself for the A-7.

Re: Choose The Next Release

Tripoli-----I made quite a bit of posting about all the SR-71 schemes out there---there's a LOT, and don't forget all the ones with red markings (my fave).

Also, the one you pictured is not an SR-71, but an M-21. It would require a lot of changes to the mold. (pretty much the entire front and rear of the fuselage)

Just FYI. Here's the post I made with example pics: Would you buy a SR-71 in 1/72nd

Re: Choose The Next Release

Thanks for the photo tripoli! I didn't know there were other schemes. I'll just take a black one although this one is interesting.

Re: Choose The Next Release

Lol, I would not mind an A-8 next, although I think the similar basic look to the A-7 might make it a bit more improbable as the next one out. Still... The liveries posted on the A-8 thread looked mighty nice.

Thanks for the SR-71 thread link, yep, I would be interested in the other liveries.

Something makes me think a S-3 viking might be next in the making, just a guess/hunch. It fits with the final countdown theory anyway... I definately would not mind an F-111 as another CW model.

I would love the F-101 Great schemes in Canada, Air Guard units Replubic of China and a F-4D or a Demon would be great too!
I checked your PM and responded. Thanks LM.
