Re: Choose The Next Release

We already have Dragon, Witty, Gaincorp, and Gulliver F-15's in 1/72. All of which are nice. Going up to a "perfect" Century one is kind of a waste of a mold IMHO. We need something either totally new, or which the current offerings are poor.

A B-1B would be awesome, but prohibitively big/expensive in 1/72. That said, gimme an XB-70.

(what I'd truly love is a YF-23, but that's unlikely due to only 2 schemes, and would need different engine area molds to do each correctly)

I don't care about the price tag of the B1-B. The last time I saw a large scale diecast B-1B, Ertl made it for it's Force One kiddie collector line.

Besides, it's not like I'm asking for a 1/72 C-5 Galaxy.

Ooooh.....1/72 C-5 Galaxy.......mmmmmm

Drool, Trumpeter's new 1/32 F-8: IPMS Philippines Bert Anido (v2 Beta)

(it is of course an E, like every other F-8 kit ever-----no one ever does the "more of them made" A/B/C/D/H/K/L versions)

Re: Choose The Next Release

Well....

For what it's worth, I would love to see a really nice U-2, or an SR-71, or how about another beautiful Navy bird, the P-3 Orion all in 1/72 of course. Big and beautiful yes, but perhaps quite expensive.

On a related not, I do believe that Century Wings has really created a new level of detail, accuracy and quality. hopefully the free market forces at work will cause all the other manufacturers to follow suit...

Re: Choose The Next Release

Just saw a video clip with a F-5N with a sundowners scheme and it look darn sharp. I like the F-5's, and from what I have heard quite a few pilots that have flown them love them as well.

Perhaps Century Wings may even be persuaded to make a Blackbird SR-71 in 1/144 scale (although I would prefer 1/72) - I think it would sell particularly well .

Re: Choose The Next Release

I could go for an F-8, although it wasn't my first choice. Oh well, hopefully quite a few of the others will be made before too long.
