Re: Choose The Next Release

The A-7 wasn't mentioned because we knew it was coming. I guess we're technically talking about the "next next" release.

I didn't realise that it was already on it's way. I must have missed that one. Anyway, I'm still looking forward to it. I voted for the Thunderchief to be the "next next" release. I've always liked that plane for some reason.

Re: Choose The Next Release

I think Skunky meant that since the Thud wasn't in "Final Countdown", it's probably not going to happen. Century seems to have given production preference to aircraft appearing in that film.

Haven't said it before so welcome to the forum Ace. You'll get used to Skunky's irreverence and comedic genius soon enough. Yes I said genius, he's a very funny individual.

Oh I see! Apologies Skunky, I thought you were having a go at me for something stupid I'd said and I couldn't work out why. Not having seen the film the Final Countdown I didn't know what you were referring to. I'll have to watch it sometime. Is it any good?

Thanks Canucklehead for your welcome!

Welcome to the forum, Ace_Rimmer. It's a very good movie and you won't be disappointed.

Re: Choose The Next Release

All is well, Ace ...(note affirmatively nodding smilie) ...Canucklehead's interpretations and perceptions are (as usual), dead on. I especially loved the "genius" attribute. I will be showing that to Mrs "S" in the morning, along with a loud and drawn out "Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?"

Truth be told, ever since tank nut (aka literarius nitwitus) arrived on the scene, I have had very little time to "have a go" at anyone else around here. He has brought "stupidisms" to a height that up until now had been attained only by our current president. Having him here has been like having the head librarian of the International Public Library of Idiocy right here on this very forum. I realize that I have been short-shrifting some of the other members here recently (jim, Top, MoMo etc.) and for that I do humbly apologize. Tank nut is just such a target-rich environment that most of my energy has been focused upon him...A poor excuse, I know...Forgive me, please ...Thanks for your understanding in this matter and I give you all my solemn guarantee that I shall strive to insult you more in the future.

Oh yes, The Final Countdown is quite an interesting movie. In fact I have it on DVD..The scenes of the VF-84 Tomcats in action are worth the price of admission alone. (No Thuds though...sorry (insert shaking head smilie here)

Re: Choose The Next Release

Had to vote for the Vark, but really, since I already have a very nice 1/48 scale F-111F (plastic kit), I would be equally happy with F-105, F-8, or RA-5C Vigilante. 1/72 or... 1/48 (well, I know, it'll be 1/72. Just dreaming here)!

Re: Choose The Next Release

I will rent The Final Countdown and watch it next weekend, I like F14s as well, and I look forward to being insulted by you on a regular basis Skunky.

If he insults you - you can be sure that he likes you! He especially likes to harass the new recruits to see what they are made of, Airman Rimmer!
