Re: Choose The Next Release

Yeah those Ertl Force One toys were the only modern aircraft models available back in the days before C.D.C. Armour 1/100 scale models became available around 11 years ago! I have the whole Ertl Force One collection still in the packaging.

Re: Choose The Next Release

Ah...'UNKY...I'm give'n them to the kids for Christmas so they have something to destroy other than my REAL collection! I just have to convince them that the Ertls are part of my collection so they have more fun playing with them. Hey - are you going to vote or what? This is just MY list of favorites. Please feel free to post yours here too (seriously).

Re: Choose The Next Release

I like the way you think, 'slide....vedddddy clever.

I voted for the F-8. I love that jet. I have tons of memories of them, having lived aboard NAS Dallas in the late '60s and early '70s. With 2 reserve F-8 squadrons there, and the Vought (LTV) plant clearly visible from my bedroom window, it would have been impossible to avoid seeing those great gunfighters (and A-7s). Man, I never got tired of watching them. (It's why I'm such an air perv today, I'm convinced)

After the F-8, I would like to see a Vigilante, although I think that's a longshot...but who knows, after all they did do an Intruder, and now a Corsair. The Vigi was such a large (especially for a carrier-based bird), yet graceful looking beast. That would be more than "o-k" in my book...

Then either an F-4B or J Phantom...

An F-111F would be nice, as well as an F-100.

Oh, and any aircraft ever flown by the Blue Angels, in Blue Angels livery of course...(especially the Tiger and the Phantom).

That would make a good start...

Re: Choose The Next Release

I'm with Skunky on this one. A F-8 Crusader is long overdue. (Okay, maybe not overdue but I'd really, really, love to have one in diecast.)

Anything for a weird life.

Re: Choose The Next Release

Would really like a F-111 but the F-8 just has to be done.

Ooops!

Re: Choose The Next Release

Since slide didn't ever put an F-4 on that list, I guess I will finally vote for my no. 2.

F-8 Crusader, BABY!

Re: Choose The Next Release

From the looks of this poll (admittedly limited) so far...it looks like CW's next releases after the A-7 might be the F-8 followed by some USAF aircraft (F-105 and F-111)!!!
