Re: Choose The Next Release

Since it is a Century Wings poll. I half heartedly voted for the F-8 because they seen to be following the Final Countdown movie. The Viking and Seaking helicopter were also in the movie according to the movie info I have googled. I want all on the list but An F-101,F-111 F-100 and F-106 in All the ANG Schemes
Would be fantastic.

Re: Choose The Next Release

I went with the F8 Crusader, but wouldn't mind a F100 or F105 either.

Re: Choose The Next Release

It's a tough choice between the F-8 and F-105. I voted for the F-8, though.

BUT, If the weatherman says the wind is blowing in favor another aircraft, then I'll change my vote accordingly.

Cool Re: Choose The Next Release

A short while back I would undoubtedly have voted for the F105. However after seeing the Last of the Gunfighters on Dogfights a change was in order. If F = Fighter then it has to be the F8. And since we're talking CW, it has to be Navy. That said, I'll take the F4E any day! And I don't mind the A7 although I would have preferred the F8.

Current poll radar indicates mostly Crusader conditions with a chance of Thunderchiefs developing later in the day...

Re: Choose The Next Release

This is very interesting to watch the Crusader vs Thunderchief fight! I did not expect this but this poll does separate the leaders from the pack. I like seeing the data develop. These would be my top choices along with the F-111.

Re: Choose The Next Release

I voted for the F-8 (more schemes to choose from) but I would buy at least 2 F-105's if produced (Natural Metal and Camo).

Re: Choose The Next Release

I dont collect jets but thats due to lack of money and space.
If I decided to go into that area then I would favour the early stuff. This homesick bird can be found at Newark air museum in the UK.

Cool looking plane.

Re: Choose The Next Release

Being an aspiring Naval Aviator, I would have no problem with more Navy aircraft coming from CW.

I would love to see:

S-3 Viking

E-2C Hawkeye (with the newer 8 blade props)

EA-6B Prowler (with gold tinted canopies, that would be sweet)

because they are a Japanese company they are clearly biased towards Japan based squadrons (or ones that relate to Japan in someway or another)

once Japan based:

VF-154 Black Knights

VF-21 Free lancers

VA-115 Eagles

Final Countdown: (F-14's vs. Japanese Zero's, Pearl Harbor)

VF-84 Jolly Rogers

VA-35 Black Panthers

others:

VF-111 Sundowners (the rising sun emblem, I wonder if they know the history of that squadron)

anyways, there's still a lot of cool Japan based Navy squadrons that could be produced by CW

Re: Choose The Next Release

Be careful though - Ertle has released some of those and they barely resemble them!

If you're talking about the Ertl Force One planes, I assumed those were toys, not collectibles. Even so, the different aircraft types are easily distinguishable. But like I said, it's just my low brow uneducated opinion... And I still want a camo Thud!
