In the polls: Thunderchief is in the lead, with the Aardvark(Earthpig) following hot on it's tail!! C'mon Aardvark..c'mon baby, you can do it!!

Also called the 'Anteater' - 'Earthpig' is the literal translation from the Dutch/Afrikaans ...

Re: Choose the next release...

This is a really close race between these two jets F105 and F-111...
Tied up at the moment at 15 for each.

Re: Choose the next release...

Aardvarks and anteaters are totally different animals. (Though aardvarks do eat ants).

Inaccurate but decently descriptive:

Aardvarks are ant-eating pigs
Anteaters are ant-eating sloths

Re: Choose the next release...

Until we get a “Thud” from CW for my own collection I guess I will have to settle the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museums newest addition.

Re: Choose the next release...

Hey folks,

William from HM has already hinted at that the F-105 will be a HM job. Regarding the F-111, I am not sure wether HM or CW would do a better job on that - as long as one of them really does the Aardvark anyway and as long CW do not forget about the RA-5 !! (still # 1 vote among the naval aircraft here)

Re: Choose the next release...

My guess is that CW will do the early F-4B/N Phantom next. It was the most colorful version and would be very popular even though HM has already done later versions. The apparent fact that CW and HM are divisions of the same company doesn't hurt either! CW may take the HM mold and improve it like they did with the FOV Tomcat (I would think that's easier and cheaper to do than to come up with an all new tooling). After the Phantom, it's anybody's guess...I'd like to see the Vigilante and Skyray myself.

just so no one gets upset HM and CW are not divisions of the same company!
only thing they have in common is both made in the same factory.

Re: Choose the next release...

I went with F111 as the 105 is being done perhaps by HM. I didn't see the FJ-3/4 Fury or the USAF A-7 version either.

See ya all in about 15 months!!

Re: Choose the next release...

Still think the S-3 Viking is the way to go. No one else is doing them and they fit in with the other aircraft produced by CW so far. Its the logical one to go with for CW. The best marketing for them woudl be to go with an aircraft that has not been produced by anyone else to keep the market demand in their favor. Have to look at it from what is best for them in termsof the competing market, as well what they have produced so far.
