Re: Choose the next release...

I've always had a soft spot for the Super Saber so that gets my vote. At least it got my vote today. Tomorrow, who knows?

Anything for a weird life.

Re: Choose the next release...

The Sioux City ANG base has COL Bud Day's F-100 1:1 scale on a plinth. He was awarded a MoH for his POW time. So, that's another thing I need to get a pic of.

From his website.
Col. “Bud” Day is a veteran of more than 35 years military service. He served 30 months in the South Pacific during WW II as an enlisted member with the US Marine Corps. He attended college after WW II on the GI bill, acquiring a B.S. and a Juris Doctor degree in 1949. He served as an Army reservist, and Army guardsman between WW II and Korea, and was given a direct appointment as a 2nd Lt. He was commissioned a 2d Lt in the USAF in 1950, and recalled to active duty. Bud graduated from pilot training as a jet pilot in 1952.

He spent his career flying fighters with exception of 5 yrs 7 months as a POW in Vietnam. He has 4900 hours single engine jet time, and about 8,000 hours total. He has flown the F-80, F-84, F-100, F-101, F-104, F-105, F-106, F-4, A-4J, A-7, CF-5, F-15, F-16, and CF-18. He has been awarded every significant combat decloration available from the US Air Force.

Re: Choose the next release...

Well - in the meantime, we know that CW have left the F-100 up to HM and I donīt really believe that someone else than HM will ever do the F-105. I am (for reasons I canīt explain - just a feeling) not sure about the F-111...

...but when I see that every aircraft done by CW so far was a U.S. Navy jet and when I see that is the most desired U.S. Navy aircraft in this poll is the A-5, I have to ask myself: which plane else than the A-5 will done by CW after the F-8?

No problem with that, I would keep my thumbs up for that one - a very interesting and powerful aircraft. Would of course most like an RA-5C.

Re: Choose the next release...

Need an F9F Panther in 1:72 -- without wing fold gaps. Maybe optional position wings (folded or unfolded) that does not use a hinge would be nice.

Re: Choose the next release...

I'm coming late to this thread, so maybe it's already been discussed: Any chance CW might modify their A-6 mould to make an EA-6B Prowler? Now that'd be sweeeeet...

If someone were to do the Prowler, it would also be neat to see the EF-111A Raven too.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.
