Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

Okay, here's a new list to choose from to see which U.S. Navy attack or fighter/bomber we would like Century Wings to do next after they do the Phantom of course! I chose the Vigilante.

i dont see a poll mate, anyway, i'd chose a hornet complete with folding wings

or maybe a USN F-35 but i highly doubt we'll be seeing one of those anytime soon

Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

I had to vote Skyraider as you put the wrong Fury up there. I want the FJ-3/4 not the -1. Still CW may beat Gemini to the punch on the Skyraider.

Shawn - I thought the F-1 was the Defense Department's "revised" designation for the Fury. The poll choices are purposely generic otherwise I wouldn't be able to put up enough choices.

lanslide, you are correct about the post 1962 F-1 designation for the Fury. However, all the FJ-1 aircraft were long phased out by then, so the revised designation does not apply to that particular airframe. The revised F-1 designation was applied to the FJ-3 and the FJ-4. Those became the F-1C and F-1E; respectively, with the FJ-4B becoming the AF-1E.

Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

Did I miss any U.S. Naval fighter aircraft since the Korean War (not made or planned to be made by CW) other than the F4U Corsair, F7F Tigercat, and F8F Bearcat?
