Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

Shawn - I thought the F-1 was the Defense Department's "revised" designation for the Fury. The poll choices are purposely generic otherwise I wouldn't be able to put up enough choices.

Well you learn something new everyday. I did not know that.

Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

With the exception of the Hornets, I'd like to see good diecasts of all these planes; especially the Banshee, Cutlass, Fury, Whale and Skyray. But, since I can only choose one, I voted for the Skyray.

Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

I voted for the Vigilante. Until Century comes out with something other than a Navy or Marine Jet. I don't see them doing a Canadian anything or a USAF anything. Are they doing a F-4 or is it just speculation? All I know is what I see and thats a F-8 and 2 A-7's No new A-6's or F-14's COME ON CENTURY WINGS PROVE ME WRONG!!!

Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

My guess is thet CW has their hands full with all they have doen already. It really has been astrong start up, i would not push too hard given that you don't want them to slip trying too hard to keep up with the demands made on the spot.

I am also surprised to see no Viking S-3 in the poll above. Its quite a heavy use Navy aircraft for the period. I think that it shoudl be in contention. I think it is in CW's best interest to take it at a pace they can attain with good QC. I also think it is in their best in terest to go towards the aircarft types that woudl be popluar and are unproduced at this time.

As for the F-14's, I would like to see and expect they will produce more D's as they have the mold for it. Just need time and capitol nop doubt to keep up an increasing pace. Given that, i would also like down the road to see a F-14D hopefully in a more camo/grey livery. The Skull and Bones one posted on another thread might not be a bad idea given the popularity shown on the first two already.

Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

Again, I would be happy with any of them on the list, but having to choose one, I chose the A-1 Skyraider. A USN Skyraider would suit me just fine.

Good choice Rush! Also, the A-3 "Whale" is on there just for you my good friend!

Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

How about putting "F-14B" on the poll, since we still don't have any.

Sorry - we are only allowed a maximum of 15 choices unfortunately. I had to keep it generic in order to fit the most types. I'm also missing the FH-1 Phantom I. Should it replace one of the others like the F-10 Skynight if it could be done over again? Which one did you vote for, David?

Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

I doubt anyone wants the original Phantom.

I'd eliminate the Super Hornet. Dragon's revised mold is very good. Witty's is physically almost perfect, it just has poor paint colors/weapons. Century's version would probably be almost identical to Witty's, including the weapons. Just better paint.
