Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

lanslide, you are correct about the post 1962 F-1 designation for the Fury. However, all the FJ-1 aircraft were long phased out by then, so the revised designation does not apply to that particular airframe. The revised F-1 designation was applied to the FJ-3 and the FJ-4. Those became the F-1C and F-1E; respectively, with the FJ-4B becoming the AF-1E.

So...Shawn should have chosen the F-1 (F-1C and F-1E) on the poll...doh!

You could throw the A-4 on there. I know HM makes it, but CW does not.

I know you've had your troubles with the HM version but it's still a pretty good example isn't it?

'slide, any possibliity of modifying "F-1" to "F-1C/E" for clarity? Thanks.

True enough. But, it sounds like CW plans on making F-4s, even though there are a bunch either released or are on the way. And, I know the F-4 is not on your poll. Just trying to help you out some, bud!

I would if I could but then wouldn't all the generic designations need to be more specific? I don't know enough about all the variants.

Thanks Rush - I probably should have omitted one of the more obscure choices and included the A-4 but I wanted the list to represent as many aircraft as I could (15 entries max.) that were not well made yet. I think the F-4 is considered our top choice for CW's next release so I considered it a foregone conclusion that it will be.

Re: Keeping It Navy - Choose The Next Release II

I think the poll is just fine as it is. Here's another thought for the F-1- maybe change it to "F-1 Swept-Wing Fury"?

I voted for the Banshee as I would really like to see a Canadian version in 1/72 Scale.

I would also like to see a Canadian CF-18 Legacy as this has yet to be done in 1/72 Scale.
