Re: Phantom, Thunderchief, or Aardvark Poll

Uh...guys...my poor thread.

I will say what Lanslide has hinted at and what a moderator should really address more than Lanslide or myself-- additionally, I will probably reap a heap of scorn for this.
But come on guys, Keep the posts on point! Can we take this "banter" off-forum or, perhaps to the "pub"? I know it is fun to go back and forth with your off-topic posts, but a lot of us prefer to discuss diecast models and would prefer not to wade through post after post which has nothing to do with the topic at hand. I know for a fact that I am not alone in feeling this way, but I think others have been unwilling to say anything. I may end up regretting saying something as well. I have seen warnings from moderators in the past on this point-- I just wish you would heed their requests and warnings on this. Please!!

Well kb, I'm no saint here but...yikes...that was getting a little too weird! So - the Thud seems to still be getting a lot of support - that's cool! I gotta admit that I really like the idea of a Vigi though.

Well, Lanslide, I am no angel either-- that is for sure. I probably overreacted here, but yes, it was getting "wierd".

I love the idea of an F-105, and I am glad you started your poll. Since CW and HM both seem to monitor this forum, I am hoping that this will encourage them to come out with a Thud, if they don't have one in the works already. But then, I would also be happy with any of the Century Series fighters, or more Phantoms, or an RA-5, or a....

Ah... a little divershun never hurt nobody...

Phantoms, Thuds, and/or Aardvarks, with a little comic relief.

Re: Phantom, Thunderchief, or Aardvark Poll

When I was a civil air patrol cadet, I watched a Thud take-off at Hill AFB... rather I should say I watched it disappear on the horizon as it slowly rolled down the runway. To this day, I am not sure if it ever got off the ground. Did that thing really fly?
