Yeah, I love the Stoof, too....I think that one's going to be a major longshot though. ASW is even less glamorous than recce....

I'm afraid you're right. So I guess we won't be seeing a good Neptune anytime soon, either...
The Stoof was a good looking plane from any angle. And the Stoof with a Roof was good lookin' too!

Re: Phantom, Thunderchief, or Aardvark Poll

I think the S-3 Viking would be a good choice just for the era and scale and the fact no one else has done one. I think that has to be a factor with the none competition of others in helping them choose the next make of model.

That's a good point. All of the previous choices would fall in that category.

I normally wouldn't approve of a unarmed recon plane, but the Vigilante would be an exception. Good call Skunky!

Re: Phantom, Thunderchief, or Aardvark Poll

I am quite surprised no one mentions the Douglas F4D (F-6) Skyray. It is an unusual looking fighter with some beautiful, colorful liveries. After a CW Navy/Marine Phantom, this is the next one I want.

The Skyray is one of my all time favorite aircraft. So is the F2H Banshee. But, I just don't think any of the carrier planes that went out of service before 1970 are going to be made anytime soon, especially by CW. Believe me, I'd love to see models of the Fury, Cutlass, Tiger and others released...

Re: Phantom, Thunderchief, or Aardvark Poll

I voted for the F-105, and specifically, I would love to see an F-105D with the "Thunderstick II" electronic countermeasures spine upgrades, and the F-105G Wild Weasel with the HARM missiles!
