CW Black Aces canopy issue

Hey CW tomcat owners -- the canopy on my new Black Aces 'cat will not stay closed. It takes a lot of fiddling to get it to close at all, and then it pops open sooner or later.... anyone else have this issue?

(Funny, this never happened with any of my Dragon birds )

I really want to display this sweet-looking scheme in-flight, but perhaps I will need to park it if I can't resolve this....

Re: CW Black Aces canopy issue

Pappy, one of mine (VF-111) has the same problem. What I've done is to close the canopy and firmly pull it against the windscreen and it seems to stay in place alright. Might even brush some white glue along the edges of the canopy rails before doing this to prevent it from re-popping up.

I have heard that Mrs. S did this same thing to a part of Skunky's anatomy.....

That is how I get it to close -- it seems the tab that is supposed to keep it clipped down is a bit...short. While I hate the idea of applying any sort of clue to the canopy area, I might do that...

Re: CW Black Aces canopy issue

Maybe a little heat from a hair dryer will fix it..Once the heat kicks in on the canopy you can squeeze the side a little bit...(Not to much or it will break) and it may fit a little better.
That's what i did to the FOV F-14 and it worked.

Thanks but that's even scarier -- it seems to be hung up on something down near the hinge but I can't see what the problem is... I'll try the smidge of white glue strategy and report back
