F-4 Phantom from CW?

I don't know if many of you noticed, but over on the Hobby Master forum, Zed dropped a hint that CW might be coming out with its own F-4 Phantoms, in addition to the HM Phantoms. I hope this is true-- I would love to see some Phantoms from CW. I really hope and encourage them to do the F-4B/N rather than another F-4J as HM is doing. I really like the B/N models and think that CW could do a great job on them. Also, as David Hintgen has pointed out, there are some great schemes available which are unique to the F-4B/N. Please, CW, do the F-4B/N Phantoms!

I would love to see you guys make a F4E Phantom...There are so many paint schemes you can do with a E.

Yeah, I reckon CW could go for E and EJ's. That will have a lot of appeal I'd say. I wouldn't mind if CW beat HM to the F-4E

I agree but CW's will cost twice as much so I will have to get half as many!

Re: F-4 Phantom from CW?

Personally, I think it is more likely that we will see an F-4E from HM-- something I would gladly welcome, by the way. After all, there has been a strong clamor for one over on the HM forum. I strongly suspect that HM will do one as they have listened to our wants in the past.

On the other hand, CW seems to specialize in USN subjects. As to USN Phantoms, and assuming that CW was to do a Phantom, wouldn't you rather they did an F-4B/N?... rather than another F-4J? It looks like to me that HM has the F-4J's covered. However, the B's and N's are a whole different and complementary market that CW could tap into. I think our efforts would be more productive if we encouraged CW to do an F-4B/N rather than an F-4E.

Re: F-4 Phantom from CW?

Not to mention that Gemini Jets is also suppose to be working on a model soon. I would think that CW would be taking advantage of the market with models were the competition is not so heavy. That would make the best sense at the beginning of such a companies production. Still if I did have to choose between the three, I would choose the CW line.

Gemini are doing the British Phantom only so far by the looks of it and won't be in competition with anyone else I don't think.

Re: F-4 Phantom from CW?

Let's have CW do all the USN versions, HM do all the USAF versions, and GA do all the international versions.
