IT SURE IS! They do Listen, Can a COANG A-7 be far behind? How about the 105 and 111? Time for another poll. Whats next after the F-8?

Re: Century Announces F-8 E,J and P Crusader

What great news! I can't wait. I know what an F-8E and an F-8J is, but what is an F-8P? Is is a French or a Filipino F-8?

They are going to sell a million of these. Did you notice on the test shot that it has the lifting wing? This is going to be great!

Re: Century Announces F-8 E,J and P Crusader

Boo-friggin-yeah. And I see a raised wing....

PS---I know F-8's almost as well as I know Tomcats, so if anyone needs any details nit-picked, please ask.

PPS---Hey Zed---movable speedbrake? F-8's have one of the neatest speedbrakes out there, and they're almost always open when on the ground. (not on purpose, they just droop)

Zuni rockets available? Need them for the Marines especially.

Hmmn, F-8P. I presume they'll do the original F-8E(FN) as well? Since a P is just an E(FN) with new ECM on the tail, visually. And a J is just a E(FN) with American markings.

PPPS for Zed-----pre-emptive comment. Is Century aware that basically every drawing and model ever of the F-8 has the afterburner nozzle too long? It does *NOT* protrude slightly beyond the rear fuselage, it is absolutely flush. Could you have them check their molds before they're finalized? Nozzle FLUSH with rear fuselage. Similar comment for the cockpit's radar screen---it is flat and vertical like every other screen on every other plane, not tilted up 45 degrees as shown in a very famous (but wrong) F-8 cockpit photo. I'd bet a lot of money on Century copying Hasegawa's 1/48 kit, and those are the two flaws in nearly every other F-8 kit that even Hasegawa still missed.

Sounds great. Now to figure out/see the different models to pick the one I want. I'll second the nod for a Colorado ANG A-7 BTW.

I'm really curious how much influence this forum has on CW's decisions. That's really cool that they obviously pay attention to their customers.
