I like the diorama idea....I posted a diorama on the Dragon Page with their new carrier deck.... I think Century could do a much better job on a carrier deck than Dragon did with cardboard...so bring on the 1/144 dioramas and if they are good then bring on a 1/72 carrier deck to match the detail on their kneeling Tomcats.

Yeah, but I say bypass the 1/44 and let's go straight to that 1/72 carrier deck idea of your! Now I'd go for that.

The 1/144 diorama makes sense when it comes to being able to get more into a smaller space, but I just think 1/144 fighters are too small (I have a couple in my collection, just can't get into them). Maybe it would grow on me, if the quality is there both for the planes and the diorama elements.

You could do this if we had a carrier deck:



Stretched cotton for the steam/smoke, not sure how you'd replicate fire though...
