Re: CW 1/144 on their website

Judging from the pic, it would come with a deck?

Nice, I love small scale jets, used to collect CDC Armour 1/100 stuff.
Space is a issue for some collectors, not everybody has room for a 1/72 collection, these will fit that niche very well.

If it's quality and it's Tomcat(s) then I will have to get it (as long as it's not another 78' Black Aces-esque scheme). Who would have thought the best die-cast producer would have such an affinity for the Tomcat, as I do. I love it!

Re: CW 1/144 on their website

Century Wings going to 1/144 doesn't make me very happy. I was expecting another A-7 or two. I already have all the F-14's I need. We want an F-8,F-105 & F-111 in 1/72.

It doesn't mean they are stopping the A-7. and to expect another A-7 before their first one is released is a bit over the top I would think. But hey, if the price is right, the detail there and diorama, i'd go for it. You don't see many dioramas for 1/72nd out there. not to mention the sort of space they take up

Re: CW 1/144 on their website

hi everyone this project is something i have known about since the summer when yoshi visited the uk.1/144th is very popular in japan and i know most collecters in the west prefer this scale for the the larger stuff.
when we discussed this back in the summer it was mentioned that warbirds could be produced in this range.
at the moment yoshi has provided samples to tigerhobbies and tfm to see what interest there would be.

Re: CW 1/144 on their website

I don't dig diecast dioramas much at all.....I appreciate them in plastic models, but not in diecast. Don't ask me why, as I don't get it myself...just another one of my many oddities I suppose...

I too would hate to see CW lose focus on what has made them an instant star on the diecast stage. If they can manage to successfully juggle both then I'm fine with it.....(I wouldn't mind seeing what they could do with a BUFF series)

You only have to look at the A-6 Final Flight and the Moonlighters A-6 the former has outsold the latter.before it even became available. So yes I do expect another A-7 before the first one has been released not to mention all those previous F-14s. I'm with Skunky.
