If you go to the Flying Mule site, you can see the gaps in most of their shots of the Jolly Rogers picture there.

Re: CW VF-101 -- Is this a manufacturing issue?

Has anyone bought an F-14 Grim Reapers that does not have the wing gap problem?...or was it corrected at the factory for later Grim Reapers?

My Grim reapers does not have the wing gap. I own almost every CW Tomcat and only one, VF-21, had it. I reported it to the seller and he replaced it. Now no wing gap issue. That's what I recommend you do with this F-14.

FIREFIGHTERPILOT1:

Thanks. I'm leaning towards the Grim Reapers F-14 because I want a "D" model. I'm glad CW solved the gap problem.

I just looked at my Jolly Rogers F-14 and it was perfect no flaws like your pictured show.

Here is the full picture of #200.

Starman,

I just noticed you have a phoenix missile on the AIM-7 wing station. It's not the right pylon for a phoenix. Just wanted to help you out. (If you want to be accurate at least)

Re: CW VF-101 -- Is this a manufacturing issue?

Yay for accuracy! I'd love Century to make an F-14A with the pylons they use on their Bombcats (but with the older Sidewinder rail) so we could have a 6-Phoenix load.

Re: CW VF-101 -- Is this a manufacturing issue?

Airshow loads only, none of that is approved for flight/use, except the TER which I think is allowed to carry 25lb bombs. Maybe the TALD. Though I do have a pic of an F-14 firing zuni's---probably the one time it happened. (kind of like the F-15 firing an AIM-4 pic)

PS--the second pic is my current most-wanted plane, VF-101's red-tailed CAG F-14B.
