Re: CW Vandy F-14 Tom Cat ????

You don't have to bid -- can get them direct from HLJ for about $90 delivered... still steep, but no ebay required.

In that case, its HH 6 I have to get clearance from.

See ya all in about 15 months!!

Re: CW Vandy F-14 Tom Cat ????

Funny this thread has come up. I went to order a Vandy 1 from Hobby Link Japan a couple days ago. They were showing that they had some in stock as evidenced by the green circle. When I was entering my information in and quantity of one, I accidentally bypassed the entering of credit card information. Their system went ahead and displayed a message telling me thanks for my order, etc...an email will be sent....confirming your order, etc....I then realized they took my order without me paying. I went back in the system and entered my credit card information. I later got an email from them telling me that I had ordered a quantity of two. I figured hey what the heck, these are super cool and rare, I'll take two and sell one of them. I later went on their site after all this and now they are saying VX-4 is low stock with a yellow circle. For those who have received anything from Hobby Link, how's their service? I clicked the express ship method. How much do you figure the shipping will be? How long did it take for anyone here to receive their shipment? I put in a PO Box address. Do they deliver to PO Box?

I appreciate your help fellas!!

Same thing happened to me. Don't worry about it, they'll come through. It might take a week or two to process but they'll make it happen.

Re: CW Vandy F-14 Tom Cat ????

Of course the stock just went down to "yellow"---you ordered two!

Anyways---I'm kinda surprised you were considered to have ordered two. Did you make a second, complete, separate order immediately after the first to include your credit card info? That'd do it. Because you can simply provide/change payment info completely separately from an order in the account maintenance section of the site.

Re: CW Vandy F-14 Tom Cat ????

I remember now that I did go back into account maintenance to enter cc info. I suppose that it creates a second order. Anyway thanks for the encouragement that they'll get here in due time..

I used the express service and mine arrived in just over two weeks.

On the item page description it will actually give you an estimate of how much the shipping would be. I'd recommend express shipping. They give you a tracking number and it is very fast. Take the slow boat and you'd be up s*@t creek if it gets "lost" in the mail.

I second the express shipping. It's secure and once mine shipped the package got to the east coast in about 2 days and to my house in 3!

Re: CW Vandy F-14 Tom Cat ????

My record for HLJ fast shipping is 20 hours, Japan-Iowa. But that's from back when they used UPS. (Then UPS like tripled their rates in Japan, so SAL and EMS are your only options now)

Personally, I use SAL a lot (anything under 50 bucks)---it's always under 2 weeks, usually under 10 days. And can save a LOT of money. However, there's a point where SAL actually costs more, as size increases.
