Re: Prowler?? itīs possible

I would have to expect that they would've taken the Prowler into consideration when planning the A-6.

Fingers Crossed!

I'm of the same conclusion. Though I would prefer to see the F-8 Crusader next after the A-7 has been released.

Re: Prowler?? itīs possible

Prowler would be nice.

How much could be re-used from the A-6?

Wings, tail planes, under cart...?

Hoping Century do a USMC EA-6A.....

I'm with you on that!

Re: Prowler?? itīs possible

Most all diecast planes are copies of plastic kits, and I think the Century A-6 is a copy of Fujimi's kit (don't have one yet, can't be sure). And I know of no A-6 kit that can also make an EA-6. Basically it all comes down to separation lines---if you didn't plan for it (or the people you copied didn't) it can't be done, even if many parts can be re-used.

Basically---having an A-6 out doesn't influence the chances of an EA-6 much at all.

I'm not so sure, Corgi seemed to think it worthwhile to use bits from the 1/144 Lancaster to produce the York and the Lancastrian. Doubtful maybe but not out of the question.

Re: Prowler?? itīs possible

I believe most Corgi 1/144 planes are "their own molds" and thus are optimized/designed to make other versions, reuse parts, etc. But most 1/72 jets are just modified copies of existing kits. Anyone have an Italeri A-6 and EA-6?

::checks around more:: Hmmmn. Italeri makes an EA-6A (technically not a Prowler), don't know if it's all-new or part of their A-6 line. Same for Fujimi---but the Fujimi EA-6A is so rare nobody has a review or one to comment on. That certainly SHOULD be part of their main A-6/KA-6 line---but both Fujimi and Italeri split them that way.

I really need to get a Century A-6 to analyze it.

In summary----an EA-6A looks quite possible, but not a Prowler.

Yes, but Corgi has been known to do all sorts of perverted things, such as take a BAe Hawk mk60, re-paint it in a U.S. Navy scheme and tell us it's a T45 Goshawk...

...here's hoping CW doesn't go down that path
