First CW A-7 to be...

A-7E Corsair II Diecast Model USN VA-82 Marauders, AJ300, USS Nimitz, 1978

According to a listing just popped up by one distributor. Yep, figured that the Nimitz would be in the first releases.

I will wait for the certain-to-come "As seen in The Final Countdown" 1978 VA-86 Sidewinders.

Works for me.
Maybe we will get simultaneous release of the Air Force model as well.

Re: First CW A-7 to be...

I can't remember what the A-7 look like in the "Final Countdown" ...
Did it have redish looking bar stripes on both wings ?

Re: First CW A-7 to be...

I am looking forward to getting an A-7 however this one won’t joining my collection anytime soon. I was really hoping we would get a Hi-Vis 1978 VA-86 ‘Sidewinders’ SLUFF.

Cool scheme! I want one. I may end up with all the versions they make (lots of possibilities) - I really like this plane for some reason.

Re: First CW A-7 to be...

Looks like I'll be playing the waiting game on the A-7.......don't like that scheme.

I would like this one because it looks like the very first A-7 model I built as a kid, and to the best of my knowledge was the very first Corsair II kit to come out...It's a VA-147 bird which was the first operational A-7 unit....

Re: First CW A-7 to be...

I want to see a diamond backs one.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
