Re: Speaking of A-7s

LOL! Maybe the Navy was inspired by the Army's 42nd Infantry Division markings?!

LOL How long did it take you to find that on google? Still that patch isn't flown as much as those rainbow CAG colors.

See ya all in about 15 months!!

About 27 seconds!
It ain't the Navy's (or the Army's) fault that radical groups have appropriated and corrupted the rainbows...the services had them first!

Re: Speaking of A-7s

I am posting scans of A-1, A-4, A-6, A-7, F-4, & F-8 profiles from the Squadron/Signal publication “USN Aircraft carrier air units Vol.3 1964-73” in threads relating to manufactures who are releasing these planes.

Not all profiles shown represent paint schemes which are appropriate for the molds which are being released.

If anyone wants me to post a close up of a particular profile or nose & tail set let me know.

Re: Speaking of A-7s

I like the USAF camo with shark mouth A-7 and that arid camo "Desert Storm" one. I don't know too much about the A-7 but I'm happy with most colourful squadron. I know the Stingers because its in the video game Battlefield Vietnam.
